Just a quick update before we go to bed... This morning Jess had an X-Ray of her lungs, which was a piece of cake. The Echocardiogram was a bit more challenging, but she did great! It's hard for her to hold still because of her C.P., so I gently scratched her head during the Echocardiogram, which seemed to help calm her body. We weren't able to get in with the Cardiologist today, but we have an 11:00 a.m. appointment tomorrow. We don't have any feedback on the tests that were done today, but we should find out all of Jessie's "heart details" tomorrow. We truly feel like Jess is in the best of hands (in every way!), and are so glad that all of the specialists are being so thorough!
In between the various tests and appointments, there has been a lot of time for the three of us to just hang out together in the comfy and cozy waiting areas here. It's rare that we would get to spend this much time together, so we're calling it our girls week at Mayo. Mom and Jess are like a comedy act most of the time, I call them "The Golden Girls". At times I feel like the second mother, telling them to be quiet when they start to get rowdy. We all just end up laughing at each other.
This clinic continues to amaze us. We had 2 hours to kill in between appointments today, so we headed over to the "Mayo museum" inside of the Mayo building. This place is like a hospital, a fine hotel and an art gallery combined into one! It truly is amazing. We all love history, so we watched the entire 1 hour long movie on the Mayo Clinic, from The Civil War Era until the present time.
Jess wants to thank you for your prayers and messages, she feels so loved and cared for by all of you!
Love to you all!
